We are pleased to announce that our Chief Executive Officer and President of the Exergia Group Dr. João Germano, was elected to the International Roads Federation (IRF) Board of Directors, Geneva, during the IRF congress held at Intertraffic Amsterdam, Netherlands, in March this year. The Board of Directors is comprised of individuals and representatives of organizations who have been elected based on their commitment to the goals and objectives of the IRF for the development of modern, economically and ecologically efficient and safe roads. Dr. Germano was newly elected, along with Mr. Svenn E. Finden (VP Market Development Saferoad AS), Dr. Essam A. Sharaf (ACTRS – Arab Center for Transportation Research and Studies) and Mr. Joseph Odo Haule (Roads Fund Manager/ Roads Fund Board) along with the re-elected members Chris Chorlton (Head of Intelligent Transport System WSP – Group), Harry Evdorides (Head of Student Development and Support/ Admissions Tutor School of Civil Engineering), Maria Sakki (General Secretary Greek Road Federation), Matija Vilhar (Director of DRC – Road and Transportation Research Association of Slovenia), Yucel Erdem (Deputy Chairman Road Association), Leonid Kozlov (Head IRF Representative office in CIS countries, Vice President Transport & Infrastructure coordination committee, and more), Patrick Lepercq (Corporate Vice President of Public Affairs Michelin) and Michael M. Stanciu (President Search Corporation). Dr. Germano stated that “Here at Exergia we recognize the importance of the intelligent application of new technology and innovation and are proud to be invited to take part in the development and distribution of such knowledge through important organizations such as the IRF”.
